That time Dean voluntarily left a fun party full of hot women so he could…go dig up a grave alone? No. So Sam could spend some time with Lori, because he was sad of Jess, refusing to talk to Dean about it, and Dean notices Sam liked her. See, THIS is what he does. He doesn’t make a fuss and demand Sam talk to him, call him names or make him feel guilty for not spilling his guts. He doesn’t make it about himself. In fact, he steps out of the way and subtly downplays that he’s doing it. This what a high emotional intelligence looks like in action, and it’s a huge part of what made me fall for Dean in Season 1.
